MillCerts

Early access. MillCerts isn’t open for sign-up yet.

Check every cert before the metal goes on the rack.

MillCerts is built to read incoming mill test reports, COAs and CoCs and check them against the PO, your customer's clauses and the limits you enter. It flags what doesn't match. A named person at your company reviews and releases. MillCerts signs nothing.

MillCerts is in early access. You can't sign up or try it on your own yet.

Who it's for

The people who read the certs: quality and receiving staff at

  • Machine shops
  • Metal service centers
  • Fabricators
  • Forges
  • Foundries
  • Valve makers

The job

The paperwork that follows every heat, in and out of the shop.

Incoming certs

Mill test reports, COAs and CoCs, each checked against three things:

The PO line
Grade, size, spec edition and the cert type you ordered.
Your customer's clauses
Signatures, required statements, revisions, and approved mills and labs, from the customer's PO quality clauses.
Your limits
Chemistry and mechanical values against the limits you buy to. You enter them, and plain code compares them.

Heat traceability

Each heat links to what came after it. Links use the mill and the heat number together, because heat numbers repeat across mills.

  1. Heat
  2. Receipt
  3. Lot
  4. Job
  5. Shipment

Outgoing cert packs

At shipping, the packing slip pulls the cert for each heat, your CoC template is filled in, and it all goes into one indexed PDF. It stays a draft until your named person releases it.

How it works

Once you are set up, every cert follows the same route.

  1. Op 10

    Receive

Forward certs to your inbox address or upload them. PO lines, receipts and packing slips come in by CSV.

    Your staff

  2. Op 20

    Read

An AI model reads each cert, pulls out the fields and shows the page and box each one came from.

    MillCerts

  3. Op 30

    Check

Plain code compares those fields with the PO line, the clauses and your limits. An unknown grade or a missing limit is a flag, never a pass.

    MillCerts

  4. Op 40

    Review

Your reviewer sees the cert beside its flags, then accepts it, rejects it or opens an NCR. A draft note to the supplier is ready for your staff to send.

    Your reviewer

  5. Op 50

    Trace

The heat links to its receipt, lot, jobs and shipments.

    MillCerts

  6. Op 60

    Release

The pack is assembled at shipping. A CoC can't be exported until a named person releases it, and that release is logged.

Where the line is

MillCerts checks and flags. Your people decide.

MillCerts

  • Reads the paperwork
  • Compares it with your PO, clauses and limits
  • Flags what doesn’t match and shows the source of each check
  • Keeps the heat links and the log

Your people

  • Check heat marks and run PMI
  • Tag and quarantine material
  • Decide every flag
  • Sign and release
No standards text
MillCerts comes with no standards text. You enter the limits you buy to, from your own copies. Limits never go to an AI model.
Not supported yet
Defense work (ITAR, CUI) and nuclear work. Please don't send those documents.

FAQ

Can I sign up today?
Not yet. MillCerts is in early access and there is no sign-up page. Email us and tell us what you make and how many certs you handle in a month.
Does MillCerts certify material?
No. MillCerts checks and flags. A named person at your company reviews and releases, and MillCerts signs nothing. It doesn't replace your inspection or your quality system.
Where do the limits come from?
From you. You enter the limits you buy to, from your own copies of the specs. MillCerts comes with no standards text. Plain code compares your limits with the cert, and limits never go to an AI model.
What does the AI do?
It reads documents: the cert, the PO and your customer's clauses. It pulls out the fields and shows where it found them. The checks themselves are plain code. Our AI provider is Anthropic. See all our providers.
Do you support defense or nuclear work?
Not yet. Please don't send ITAR-controlled documents, CUI or nuclear work.
Does it connect to my ERP?
Not yet. It starts with CSV files of your PO lines, receipts and packing slips.
What email will MillCerts send?
Only what the product needs: sign-in codes, invitations from your own team, account and security notices, and notices about your own work, such as a document ready for review. No marketing, no newsletters, and we never buy lists.
